Hannah Davis leaves WFAA Dallas

Hannah Davis announced she is leaving WFAA Dallas - Fort Worth's morning lifestyle show "Good Morning Texas" on March 15, 2023.

UPDATE JULY 2023
Erin Hunter joins WFAA's Good Morning Texas

Here is part of what Davis posted on social media:

"After prayer and careful consideration I have decided now is a season of change. I’ve decided not to re-sign with WFAA and I am grateful to our station’s leadership for accepting my decision with support.

This next chapter will be the most exciting yet in my career! Over the last two years I’ve been approached for television hosting, acting, voice over work, brand sponsorship and consultation, and emcee work that I haven’t had the space to explore while working a full-time job.

I am now creating that space to explore these exciting adventures and I cannot wait to see how these opportunities grow."

Davis joined GMT back in March 2021 with Jane McGarry when Alanna Sarabia (Sarabia eventually joined KENS 5) left for San Antonio.

Before GMT, Davis was reporter and social media anchor for the WFAA Daybreak morning newscast. When she came to WFAA in 2016, Davis started as a multimedia journalist (MMJ).

Prior to channel 8, Davis was an anchor/reporter/MMJ/producer for KWCH 12 News Wichita, Kansas.

Davis studied at DePaul University and the University of Kansas.
