Matt Grant, the KXAN Austin investigative reporter, let's us know he was in a "serious car accident" back in November.
Grant writes a full-size pickup truck went into oncoming traffic to speed around stopped cars. As Grant was turning left, the driver ran into the reporter's driver door. He says firefighters, "were surprised I got out."
"The MRI results came back today and I fractured my tibia," Grant tweeted. "The good news is I don’t need surgery. The bad news is I’ll be on crutches for a while."
Since the accident, he has been home from work watchin Seinfeld episodes.
Grant joined KXAN Austin in June 2021 from FOX46 WJZY Charlotte, North Carolina.
Update: Thank you so much to everyone who reached out since my accident. It has meant so much to me. The MRI results came back today and I fractured my tibia. The good news is I don’t need surgery. The bad news is I’ll be on crutches for a while. https://t.co/F50MBNzsv6

Saw my car for the first time today since my accident two weeks ago. There was a lot of emotions: sadness, anger, but mostly gratitude that it wasn’t worse. pic.twitter.com/gEl02H7GJ1
