Marco Ramirez has been promoted to morning anchor for CBS 4 News KGBT Rio Grande Valley in October 2022.
"After weeks of filling in, I’m excited to announce I’ve been officially named Morning Anchor at CBS 4 News," Ramirez tweeted. "I’m extremely excited to take on this new role at the station I grew up watching and to share stories that matter to the RGV!!"
Ramirez joined CBS 4 News and Nexstar Media Group sister-station NBC 23 News KVEO as a reporter in July 2021.
The University of Texas at Austin grad got his TV start at Big 2 News KMID Midland-Odessa as a multi-media journalist (MMJ)/reporter.
The McAllen, TX native interned at KXAN Austin and CBS News.
