Lindsay Liepman joins KCEN Waco

Lindsay Liepman, a familiar face in the Waco/Temple/Killeen television market, joined 6 News KCEN as 5, 6 and 10pm evening co-anchor with Kris Radcliffe. Her first night on air was November 11, 2022.

She takes over for Leslie Draffin, who has left the TV news business.  According to her Facebook page, Draffin is now Menstrual Cycle Coach & Podcast Host. Draffin posted a video in early October saying that after an extended leave, she had resigned from KCEN to focus on her mental health.

Liepman, a Central Texas native who grew up in Mexia, previously worked as an anchor for cross-town rival 25 News KXXV (it should return to News 25 like in the Ann Harder and Ray Peters days). She left KXXV in 2021 and had worked as both an evening and morning anchor.

Before Central Texas, she worked for CBS Austin KEYE as a breaking news anchor.

Liepman also worked as a:

- weekend anchor for WMTW News 8 Portland, Maine

- morning/noon anchor for WINK News Ft. Myers, Florida

- main anchor for WSHM Western Mass News Springfield, Massachusetts

- news reporter for KBTX News 3 Bryan/College Station.

The Texas A&M University grad has earned multiple Edward R. Murrow and EMMY awards.
