Emmanuel Esparza joined Telemundo 48 El Paso KTDO as sports anchor on October 4, 2022.
Esparza will deliver sports coverage weekdays for Noticiero Telemundo 48’s weekday newscasts at 4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm and 10pm.
“This opportunity is extra special. I grew up in this community, and now I will have the privilege to cover my hometown’s sports news and tell their stories," said Esparza in a release.
“Emmanuel is passionate and knowledgeable about our region’s sports, teams and athletes,” said Alejandro Pariente, News Director, Telemundo 48 El Paso. “He will be an excellent addition to our already talented team.”
Esparza joins KTDO after working as a bilingual multi-media journalist (MMJ) for KVIA ABC 7, where he presented daily news stories from the border.
The New Mexico State University 2021 grad covered college sports for the university’s News 22 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Antes de unirse a Noticiero Telemundo 48, Emmanuel trabajó para el noticiero de KVIA ABC 7.
Esparza obtuvo su licenciatura en Periodismo en la Universidad Estatal de Nuevo México (NMSU) en mayo del 2021.
