Karina Vargas has left her weekend anchor/reporter position with NBC 23 KVEO Rio Grande Valley.
After leaving KVEO, Vargas changed her Twitter bio to note she is joining KOMO Seattle as a reporter.
Here is what Vargas posted on Instagram about her Texas TV departure:
"What a journey it’s been. It’s my last few weeks in the RGV and it’s a very bittersweet moment.
The valley has grown on me in so many ways from the lifelong friendships I’ve made to the experience I’ve gained as a journalist.
Needless to say the 956 will forever hold a special place in my heart.
To everyone I’ve met here, each one of you has made this journey special. Thank you, and stay tuned for what’s next."
Vargas joined KVEO as a multi-media journalist (MMJ)/reporter in September 2019 and was promoted to weekend anchor in August 2020.
The California State University, Northridge grad worked for ABC7 KABC Los Angeles as a news assistant and intern.
