Appleton joined KBTX in 2019 after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2017 followed by a Masters of Science degree in Sport Management.
While in school, she worked for Texas A&M athletics' 12th Man Productions and CBS Sports.
Taking Appleton's place on the morning show is reporter Caleb Britt. No word on the weekend anchor replacement.
