Carlos Aguiar left the 89.3 KSBJ Houston afternoon shows on July 14, 2022. On August 11, 2022, HisAir.net announced Aguiar joined Educational Media Foundation (EMF)'s K-LOVE.
"I love KSBJ," Aguiar told hisair.net. "This ministry has meant so much to me over the years. I turned 30 in this building, left and came back and then turned 40 in this building. I met my wife working for KSBJ and we had our second son while living in Houston. God used KSBJ in my life in so many ways and I am forever grateful for my time with this amazing ministry. God has called me and my family to a new adventure and I am excited for what is to come."
"Carlos is leaving Houston and today is his last day on KSBJ," co-host Morgan Smith posted on Facebook. "He has a cool new opportunity and while we are excited for him, we will miss him terribly. I'm thankful that I've had the chance to spend the last four and a half years sharing a show and a studio with Carlos. He's a loyal friend who has made me a better broadcaster and taught me a lot about how to stand up for myself. He's the kind of person you just cannot forget."
This was Aguiar's second tour of duty with KSBJ, as he was previously the NGEN program director/morning show host.
He worked for WayFM in between stints with the Houston stations.
