Here is what Geigel posted on Facebook:
"Last week was my last day at Fox 26. 6 years ago I moved from New York to Texas to pursue my career. Although it was difficult to leave everything that I knew and loved behind, I was excited for change, and came with an open mind. I learned so much, and found Houston to be a wonderful city with amazing people. The decision to leave Houston was harder than my decision to leave NYC. I met my husband and we made our family here. I had the privilege to be a part of some of the most important events in recent history, and I’ve had the honor to tell the stories of the people who call Houston home.
I want to thank Fox 26 viewers for allowing me into your home and watch the stories we worked so hard to tell, and also for all the encouraging words, and support that was given to me through difficult times.
My family and I are moving to Orlando to be closer to loved ones. I have no future plans at the moment. I just want to settle in to our new city, and get my son adjusted before I tackle my next career move. If that brings me back to the news industry, then you all will see me soon. Hopefully, I will have some good news to share soon!
Love you all,
Natasha"
