Guillermo Ochoa has been named co-anchor/ reporter of Telemundo Houston KTMD’s 5 PM and 10 PM newscasts, alongside co-anchor Crystal Ayala.

His first day on-air at Telemundo Houston will be Monday, June 20, 2022.
Ochoa joins KTMD from sister station, Telemundo 52 / KVEA-TV Los Angeles where he anchored the award-winning morning newscasts for 4 years.

Born in Mexico City, Ochoa brings a solid news background to KTMD that spans more than 2 decades, first as reporter and then editor-in-chief for publisher Grupo Mundo Ejecutivo.
His experience in television began in 2004 as morning anchor for a state-owned station near Mexico City followed by correspondent for Univision stations, then anchoring multiple newscasts on Foro TV and Las Estrellas for Televisa before joining the Telemundo Station Group in 2018.
A recipient of the Young Leader Award for Excellence in Communications in 2007 and recognized by Mexico’s Senate for achievements in journalism in 2017, Ochoa earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City.
