Ochoa joins KTMD from sister station, Telemundo 52 / KVEA-TV Los Angeles where he anchored the award-winning morning newscasts for 4 years.

“We are proud to hire a journalist who shares our mission of serving our community and keeping our audiences informed,” said Tony Canales, President and General Manager, Telemundo Houston. “Guillermo’s skills, energy and tireless work ethic will help to strengthen our already strong news team. I’m pleased for our viewers to get to know him.”

Born in Mexico City, Ochoa brings a solid news background to KTMD that spans more than 2 decades, first as reporter and then editor-in-chief for publisher Grupo Mundo Ejecutivo.

His experience in television began in 2004 as morning anchor for a state-owned station near Mexico City followed by correspondent for Univision stations, then anchoring multiple newscasts on Foro TV and Las Estrellas for Televisa before joining the Telemundo Station Group in 2018.
