Marcus Bagwell is leaving his chief meteorologist position at KETK and FOX 51 Tyler, Texas for WKRN News 2 Nashville, Tennessee.
Here is what Bagwell posted on Facebook:
"Thankful for the 8+ years of serving East Texas. Change is hard, but it brings new opportunities. I'll be sharing my next steps in Nashville soon.
Seasons change, but He remains the same. Faithful then, faithful now, faithful forever.
Thank you for welcoming me into your home."
Bagwell joined KETK in 2013 as a weekend meteorologist. Since then, he worked his way up to mornings, evenings and to the chief met position in 2019.
The Western Kentucky University grad who earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in meteorology, interned with NewsChannel 5 Nashville WTVF.
With Bagwell heading to WKRN, KETK morning meteorologist Carson Vickroy is being promoted to chief meteorologist.
