Emily Giangreco is joining WTAE 4 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as weekend sports anchor/reporter from KVUE Austin.
Here is what Giangreco posted on social media:
"Hi friends! A bit of a life update, I’m moving to Pittsburgh!
I’ve accepted the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter job at WTAE!
I’m super excited to get back to the east coast and be closer to family.
My last day on-air at KVUE will be this Sunday! Austin, I’ll write you my love letter then."
Giangreco joined KVUE 24 in June of 2019.
During the February 2021 Texas winter storm, Giangreco made national headlines when she went viral for her honestly raw reporting.
Being very vulnerable on-air today. It doesn't feel right talking about sports when so many people are still suffering. With a lack of water, I'm unable to wash my hair or put on makeup for broadcasting.
