Stan Smith is joining KAMC News 28 Lubbock as a sports director from morning anchor at News 12 KXII Sherman, Texas.
"I am beyond excited for this next challenge, so get ready for ALL the Texas Tech Red Raider news," Smith tweeted. "Now without further ado… Wreck ‘em."
"I hate goodbyes especially when it’s my co anchor," KXII morning anchor Christy Waite added. "His next station is getting an incredible, loving, and kind person. He works hard and will continue to shine in all he does. I know the viewers will love him too!"
The University of South Carolina grad joined KXII in June 2018.
