Here is a portion of what Elyaderani tweeted:
"I want to thank this incredible team for building me up over the past year. I know they'll continue to thrive and put East Texans first after I'm gone.
To the wonderful East Texas community who has built me up over the past year, THANK YOU for welcoming me into your homes and your morning routines. Whenever I met folks out and about I always got the biggest smile on my face, and I'm reminded of how truly lucky I am to serve you.
In the past year, we've accomplished a lot together. We've grown both of our morning shows- by extraordinary degrees in some hours. We've launched multiple investigations, including one into hand sanitizer that contributed to a nationwide recall. And we set aside entire months to bring solutions to parents looking to address an unprecedented level of teen hospitalizations for mental health.
As for what's next- I got a promotion! I'll be joining the amazing team at our sister station @KNWAFOX24 as their new morning anchor."
Elyaderani joined KETK in March of 2021 and has been the station's morning anchor.
Before that he was weekend anchor/weekday reporter/Producer for KVAL 13 and KMTR 16 Eugene, Oregon.
