Mariel says goodbye to KVUE Austin
Here is a partial transcript of what Ruiz posted to Facebook:
"I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining the WFAA weather team near my hometown in DALLAS, TX. To say this feels like a dream is simply an understatement. I’ll be forecasting for the community I was raised in!
I’m grateful for my time in Austin. The community, sights, and food are incredible. I’ll miss it dearly.
My coworkers are some of the best people I’ve met. I can genuinely say I’ve gained lifetime friends.
A big thank you to my husband. His patience and support are the driving force behind my career.
Join us next week! My last day on-air will be December 9th."
