Maggie Glynn announced on Twitter she is the new KXAN Austin weekend morning anchor.
"After 2 years covering all things politics & breaking news across Texas in our capital bureau, I’m happy to announce I’ve officially been promoted to weekend morning anchor here at @kxan_news!
I’m so excited for this new chapter, and so grateful to my KXAN family.
Can’t wait!"
She takes over the weekend anchor seat from Erin Cargile who left KXAN in May 2021.
Glynn joined KXAN in February of 2020 as a Capitol Correspondent for the Nexstar Austin Bureau.
Before Austin, Glynn was a weekend anchor and reporter for Local 4 News KAMR Amarillo.
The Marquette University grad grew up in the Chicago area and interned for TODAY’S TMJ4 WTMJ Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
