Telemundo 48 KTDO El Paso launched a ten minute daily digital newscast this week.
The digicast, called "El Break," is anchored by Ivette Sánchez.
El Break will broadcast local news and weather with exclusive content for OTT (over-the-top) web streaming audiences.
“Through our new digicast we can serve our growing OTT audience with a program that gives them the information they need to stay informed through the platforms they are already consuming content in. We are excited to present this new news program to better serve our audiences,” Telemundo 48 El Paso News Director Alejandro Pariente said in a statement.
Sánchez, a four-time Lone Star EMMY award-winning journalist, joined KTDO from Televisa Juárez in 2012 as an Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ).
KTDO’s El Break will stream on Roku, Apple TV and on Telemundo48ElPaso.com.
