Saphire Cervantes is joining KBMT Beaumont as a sports reporter/anchor from KKCO 11 News/KJCT News 8 Grand Junction, Colorado.
"Well Colorado it has been fun but this Texas girl couldn’t stay away," Cervantes tweeted. "In just one short week I’ll make the trip to Beaumont, TX where I’ll be a sports reporter/anchor at KBMT. I can’t wait to get back to Texas and report on the thing I love the most…TEXAS SPORTS."
The Dallas native graduated from Oklahoma State University in December 2020.
While in school, she worked as an anchor/reporter/producer for Oklahoma State's sportscast.
According to her bio, when Cervantes was younger, her family thought she had an old soul because she chose to watch TV news for cartoons.
