Texas TV journalists remember Branch Davidian raid near Waco

Norm Uhl at Branch Davidian standoff
Former KHOU 11 reporter Norm Uhl covering Branch Davidian standoff outside of Waco, TX.

As we approach the end of the Branch Davidian siege on April 19th, I wanted to make sure you read my "oral history" or actually emailed interviews with Texas TV journalists that were on the ground just outside of Waco in Satellite City near Mt. Carmel.

READ HERE

This is a fascinating look at what it was like to cover a story,  that lasted from 2/28/93 to 4/19/93. And think, back then there was no Internet, LiveU units, social media or iPhones.

We get a perspective from the network level to the local TV stations in Houston and Waco.

Also check out the archived video that covers what was happening as you scroll through the many interviews with the likes of:

Minerva Perez - KTRK abc13 Houston

Mike Capps - CNN Network Correspondent

Ann Harder - WACO 100 news anchor (later KXXV anchor)

Norm Uhl - KHOU 11 Houston

Jay Remboldt - KHOU 11 photographer

Ray Peters - KXXV 25 Waco - Temple - Killeen

Steve Snyder - KCEN 6 Waco - Temple - Killeen (later KXXV)
