Taylor Mitchell is moving up from being a NewsChannel 10 KFDA Amarillo reporter to weekend anchor.
"Get used to seeing this girl behind the desk," Mitchell tweeted. "I’m so excited to announce my new position as @NewsChannel10 weekend anchor! So blessed to have this opportunity and looking forward to continuing sharing the news with the Texas Panhandle."
Mitchell started with KFDA in August 2020.
A Chicago native, Mitchell is an Illinois State University grad who has already earned an Emmy nomination while working for the school's TV10N News.
Mitchell also interned for the "The Jam TV Show" on CW26 WCIU Chicago.
