Mike Iscovitz
Mike Iscovitz announced Sunday that his father was killed in southwest Houston

For years you have heard Houston attorney Chris Tritico give legal advice on both FOX 26 KRIV and 740 KTRH.

Now out of Florida, there are sad reports that Tritico's daughter, Maria Tritico, 31, was shot and has now died.

More from WPTV:

"A 31-year-old Tequesta woman was shot while on the beach at Singer Island.

"Maria's fiancé called frantically and said that Maria had been shot and we just screamed," Chris Tritico, the father of Maria Tritico, told WPTV.

Tritico said he was celebrating his wife's 60th birthday in Houston, where he lives. It was Sunday. It was also when he said he got the call their daughter had been shot.

He said they quickly booked flights to Florida.

"I was hoping and praying that I wasn't going to find what I did. It couldn't have been any worse," he said. READ THE REST

Sunday, FOX 26 morning meteorologist Mike Iscovtiz shared on Facebook that his father had been killed:

"On Thursday morning, we lost my dad Stanley Iscovitz to an act of violence while he was on his daily walk to the store in SW Houston. My dad was 80 years old. My brother Neil and I are still in shock and sadness at this sudden loss." READ THE REST

Here is more from the Houston Chronicle report:

"An 80-year-old Air Force veteran stabbed to death while walking to the store last week in southwest Houston was the father to KRIV-TV meteorologist Mike Iscovitz.

The weatherman identified Stanley Iscovitz as his father and the man who was killed Thursday morning in the 10600 block of Westbrae Parkway." READ MORE

Our thoughts and prayers go out to both the families of Tritico and Iscovitz.
