Kalyn Norwood to leave KVUE 24

KVUE reporter Kalyn Norwood to join KOAT 7 News Albuquerque as weekend evening anchor/reporter

KVUE 24 Austin reporter Kalyn Norwood announced she's leaving the TEGNA owned station and Texas after two and a half years.

"Now the beginning of a new chapter," Norwood tweeted. "I’m excited & humbled to be named weekend evening anchor/reporter @koat7news in Albuquerque."

Her last day with KVUE is August 17, 2020.

Before returning home to the Lone Star State, the Dallas native was a weekend anchor and reporter for KEZI 9 News Eugene Oregon.

Prior to KEZI, Norwood was a student news anchor/producer/reporter/MMJ for the Annenberg TV news serving the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she earned her BA in broadcast journalism.

As a student, she interned for such companies as Martin Chase Productions, FOX Networks Group, TD Jakes Film & Entertainment and KTLA 5.

She later earned her MBA from Rice University in Houston.
