Kris Gutierrez might be new to some KPRC 2 viewers in 2020, but the anchor who is taking over for the legendary Bill Balleza, is actually returning to channel 2 in Houston.

Gutierrez worked for the NBC affiliate from 2003 to 2007.
After moving his family back to H-Town, Gutierrez has returned to Houston's First Baptist Church.
Pastor Gregg Matte sat down with Gutierrez to talk about his return to Houston, the challenge of being a dependable voice during the pandemic, and his life as a man of God.
His last gig was anchoring at NBC 5 KXAS in Dallas - Fort Worth.
