Tears were falling during KHOU 11's 10pm newscast as the station reported on one of its longtime news photographers who is now retired, John Shaw.
Shaw tells his former station that he recently lost his wife to COVID-19 after being with her for more than 50 years.
"The last time I saw her was when she was pushed away in her wheelchair," Shaw said. "They took my wife from me and I didn't even get to kiss her goodbye."
Now Shaw is self isolating at home because he too has tested positive for the virus.
