Turns out there is more life to hyper-local news coverage in Katy, TX than we thought.
Founder Dennis Spellman has figured out how to keep his Covering Katy and Covering Fort Bend websites going after announcing earlier he was shuttering the sites at the end of February.
The changes involve expanding the coverage area and a name change.
The former CW39 KIAH reporter will consolidate the sites under the Spellman News moniker and will not only cover Katy and Fort Bend, but add in Fulshear and Cy-Fair.
