Some scary news for abc13 KTRK weekend morning anchor Erica Simon who was just involved in a car wreck Wednesday night...but she tweeted it could have been worse:
What a long, awful night (due to a wreck). 😣 Very sore and car was damaged, but I thank God it wasn’t worse. Baby and I are going to spend the day recovering, so I won’t be on the air this evening.
After meteorologist Travis Herzog responded to Simon's tweet, she replied to him that the incident happened at 59 and 610.
"Head hurts and back is sore, but I’m so glad I was wearing my seat belt," Simon told fans on Facebook. "We have been monitoring the baby’s movement. Her kicks are still strong! That’s the most important thing. Car can be fixed. Body will heal with rest. Was crying on the side of 610 when everything happened, but I’ve calmed down quite a bit. Our prayers for protection aren’t in vain!"
As she noted, Simon took Thursday to recover, and was cleared to return to the newscasts Friday.
Simon announced in October that she was pregnant with a girl.
