Sally Mamdooh is joining KPRC 2 as a reporter from 7NEWS KMGH Denver.
She took to Instagram to say goodbye to Colorado:
Colorado, Thank you for your beautiful scenery, wonderful friendships and countless opportunities to tell all types of stories for the past 3 years. The time has come for another reporting journey and this time with KPRC 😊 in a place I have once called home. Houston, here I come! Colorado, you’ll always have a special place in my heart. Thank you!
This is a return to our area for Mamdooh.
While the native Egyptian grew up in the Middle East, she never stayed in one country for more than five years since the age of six. However, she moved to the US at age 16 and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
If you were in the area at the same time, you might have seen, heard or read the Criminal Justice and Political Science double-major on the schools' KHSU-TV, KHSU 90.5-FM "THE KAT" or The Houstonian newspaper. Eat ’em up Kats!
While in college, Mamdooh interned at abc13 KTRK with the legendary Wayne Dolcefino and the 13 Undercover unit.
