Houston native Shelley Childers returns to the Bayou City to work at KTRK abc13 as a general assignment reporter her agent reports.

While spending most of her career in Texas, Childers left the Lone Star State in 2016 for a gig with WXYZ Detroit where she has been up until now.
Before the Motor City, Childers worked in South Texas at KRGV Weslaco as an anchor/reporter.
Back in 2009, she got her start at KOSA in Odessa/Midland as an anchor/reporter.
She might be a Texan, but Childers clearly likes the Great Lakes State since she not only worked at WXYZ, but also graduated from Michigan State University.
