Houston radio stations raise over $420,000 for pediatric care

Over $420,000 Raised to Support Pediatric Care, Education and Research


HOUSTON – (January 4, 2018) – Cox Media Group Houston stations: The New 93Q, Country Legends 97.1 and 106.9 and 107.5 Houston’s Eagle helped Texas Children’s Hospital reach Houstonians via the airwaves to raise $420,375 during the 14th annual Radiothon from December 1 through 31, 2017.

The month-long campaign featured a Hero of the Day highlighting a different Texas Children’s Hospital patient every day on the radio stations. Funds raised benefit patient care, education, research at Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

“I’m humbled with the outpouring of support our listeners gave this year especially after the difficult year Houston experienced with Hurricane Harvey,” said CMG Houston VP and Market Manager Mark Krieschen. “We are inspired by the courage of the children and their families every year and I’m so proud of our on-going commitment to Texas Children’s Hospital.”
