Sarah Frazier and CBS Radio Houston Honored at Houston Hispanic Chamber Annual Awards

In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Awards at the Marriott Marquis in Downtown Houston on Saturday November 18th.

The largest Hispanic gala in the region, the Chamber’s Annual Awards honors the accomplishments of the Houston business community every year.

This year, the Chamber will recognize winners across many categories, including the Chairman/President & CEO Award which will be awarded to Sarah Frazier, Senior Vice President & Market Manager for CBS Radio’s work in the Houston community in 2017.

Notable items are donating of over $3 million in airtime to local charities, raising a million dollars in cash donations across all six stations, hosting two DACA/immigration forums for the Hispanic community, lobbying on behalf of small business owners in Washington to keep the deductibility of advertising as a business expense in the new tax plan, broadcasting Eye on Houston, a weekly public-service show supporting local non-profit efforts, and broadcasting four days of live and local non-stop coverage of Hurricane Harvey in both English and Spanish.

The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards is the largest Hispanic gala in Houston.

The Annual Awards recognizes successful executives, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and is attended by 1,000+ local business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders.

Annual Awards winners are chosen through a rigorous selection process and represent the very best of their chosen field and professions.

The Chamber receives hundreds of nominations yearly, of which only six are chosen as honorees.
