After reporting for KTRK abc13 since 2014, Kaitlin McCulley is moving to Boston's WHDH 7News.
“I am grateful to have called Houston home for the last three years and to have worked with such dedicated journalists at KTRK," McCulley told mikemcguff.com. "I’m looking forward to new opportunities ahead at WHDH in Boston.”
The New England station has been in the news a lot lately. After NBC moved its affiliation from WHDH to its own station, 7News has become a news factory.
According to an article in NiemanLab, to make up for the loss of NBC network programming, WHDH now offers 87 hours of local news a week.
McCulley will have plenty of time on air.
Before Houston, McCulley worked as an MMJ/reporter for WIAT in Birmingham, Alabama. She interned at MSNBC's Morning Joe and WWSB in Tampa.
The award winning journalist is a Samford University in Birmingham grad.
Her last day with KTRK is September 21st.
