The Texas Radio Hall of Fame is not only honoring the greats of Lone Star State radio, but now interviewing them for archival purposes too.

Former 100.3 KILT personalities Steve Rixx and Rowdy Yates (aka Josh Holstead) have interviewed broadcasting greats like former KILT newsman Robert B. McEntire and KIKK's Joe Ladd (both of their interviews embedded in this post). They have plans to get more behind the mic like Jimmy Rabbitt of KLIF/Dallas and former 101 KLOL morning mad man Jim Pruett.

"Our objective is to feature the stars of Texas radio and hear the stories in their own words," Holstead told mikemcguff.com. "Steve and I will be the primary hosts of the series, but we will add more hosts as we grow. The response has been nuts."

The hosts' goal is to post one new podcast per week, and make them all available on Facebook, the web and mobile devices.

And speaking of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, voting begins June 1st for the 2016 Inductions. You must be a Lifetime Voting Member to cast your vote-and you must be signed up by May 31st. It cost $25.00 to join at trhof.net.
