TXA 21's Texas Rangers baseball broadcasts #1 in Friday night prime time among adults 25-54
In the most recent May “sweep” rating period, TXA 21’s Texas Rangers Friday Night Baseball broadcasts were Dallas-Fort Worth’s most-watched program in primetime on Friday nights among viewers ages 25 to 54.
“Texas Rangers Baseball is a cornerstone for our station,” said TXA 21 and CBS 11 President and General Manager Gary Schneider. “The team is enjoying another great season on the field, and we’re happy to bring Rangers fans the Friday Night games on TXA 21.”
Also during the May sweep, TXA 21 experienced significant year-over-year growth in daytime, early fringe and prime access. For the 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daytime programming block, every program was up in rating among viewers ages 25 to 54 over last May. Most notably, America’s Court (noon-1 p.m.) more than quadrupled the rating, Judge Mathis (1-2 p.m.) was up 59% and The People’s Court (2-3 p.m.) grew 76%. Overall, TXA 21’s daytime programming averaged 49% rating growth year over year among viewers ages 25 to 54.
In early fringe, TXA 21 saw notable increases with Judge Mathis (3-4 p.m.), which had more than triple the rating among viewers ages 25 to 54 year over year, and with The People’s Court (4-5 p.m.), which had more than double. In prime access, TXA 21’s airing of Jeopardy! (6-6:30 p.m.) was up 70% in rating over last May among the same demographic.
