The Lone Stare EMMY folks sent this information out today about the funeral service for Jerry Haynes aka "Mr. Peppermint:"
Funeral services for Jerry Haynes, the beloved "Mr. Peppermint." willl be Saturday, October 1 at 3:30 p.m., Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road, in Dallas. The public is invited.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Lone Star EMMY Educational Foundation in memory of the Texas TV legend. The foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit entity whose mission is to promote education and media literacy, encourage professional development and recognize the contribution of longtime TV professionals with Silver and Gold Circle recognition.
Mr. Haynes was inducted into the prestigious Silver Circle in 2007.
