Dan Lyons, KHOU-TV’s Director of Sales since 2006, is promoted to Vice President, Sales
effective today.
“Dan’s contributions to KHOU have distinguished him as a leader and integral part of this station’s strong financial performance,” said Susan McEldoon, KHOU-TV President and General Manager.
Since joining the station, Lyons has led several significant integrated media initiatives that blend KHOU’s television, Web and mobile assets. He successfully managed the Sales team through difficult economic conditions affecting the market in 2008 and 2009. Then in 2010, Lyons led the Sales Department to overachieve its goals.
“I truly appreciate my job, my colleagues and the great work environment that provides our team the support to perform exceptional work,” said Lyons of his promotion. “It’s a privilege to work at KHOU.”
Prior to joining KHOU in 2006, Lyons was Vice President, Group Director of Sales for the broadcast division of the New York Times Company. He also spent 12 years with Clear Channel TV as Director of Sales at stations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jacksonville, Florida and Providence, Rhode Island.
Lyons began his career in 1989 as a Research Analyst in New York with Seltel.
