It just so happens that my Texas Watchdog colleague Lynn Walsh and myself both have positions of responsibility this year with the Society of Professional Journalists, the nation's oldest and largest organization for journalists -- Lynn is chairman of the SPJ Generation J committee, serving the needs of young journalists, while I'm the new chairman of the Digital Media Committee.

We'd sure like enjoy a cold beverage and your company in an informal setting -- and if we haven't met you yet, all the better! So, we're putting on a Tweetup, slated for 6-9 p.m. Tuesday night, Nov. 16, at the The State Bar & Lounge, 909 Texas St., right across from the Chron building.
