Santa dumps loads of money off at Sunny 99.1 KODA due to Christmas music

 

Every year Sunny 99.1 KODA (some in the past have referred to the station as KOMA because it used to play really slow music) plays Christmas music at this time. KIAH 39 reporter Steve Simon takes a look at how Clear Channel rakes in the cash during this season because holiday music is hot:

The most requested song this year: The Christmas Hippotamus Song. It was recorded in 1953 by 10 year-old Gayla Peevey.

An old song you won't hear this year: Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. The station says it's time to give grandma a rest.
