88.7 KUHF's Eric Ladau plays classical overnights for Houston

When I read this article in the Chronicle about 88.7 KUHF's Carl Eric Ladau, I couldn't believe an actual DJ was on duty overnight in Houston anymore:

Most nights of the past 22 years, classical music fans have called Eric Ladau, who — as KUHF-FM (88.7)'s all-night host — plays classics by request from midnight to 5 a.m. It's rare these days for any station to have a live host overnight, since most of them use pre-recorded spoken bits spaced around pre-programmed music. I also checked the masthead of the Web site to see if I was on the Houston Press' Web site. This is one long article for the Chron!

(Special thanks to the Chronicle's Kyrie O'Connor for pointing out I originally gave Mr. Ladau the wrong first name! As an editor she must be very disappointed in my sloppiness. And an apology to Mr. Ladau as well.) CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
