Why Austin City Limits smelled bad

KVUE News in Austin let us in on why things at ACL smelled so bad...it was the dirt:

That smell may have been due to the fact that the mud is actually Dillo Dirt, a composted soil made by the City of Austin and sold locally. It's a mix of treated raw sewage, plant matter and natural dirt. It had the grounds smelling more like a zoo.

Simple solution. Hire Lynyrd Skynyrd 2.0 next year and have them play "That Smell."
