KTRK 13's Art Rascon told me when he was a CBS correspondendt he had to have a suitcase packed and ready to go in his car's trunk. He never knew when he would be at dinner with his family and would get a page saying he was going to [insert city here] in a few hours for a story. His plane ticket would be waiting at the nearest airport.
