Charles Gibson had a good, but short run, as World News anchor on ABC. The news just came out that Gibson is retiring and as I always guessed, Diane Sawyer will take his place. She starts in January.I had the chance to interview Gibson a few years ago. He was a nice guy. I met Peter Jennings and found him to kind of be intimidating.
