We just got another TEE VEE newscast to kick around. Sort of. Former Fox affiliate, KUIL, has just announced that they'll be entering the news fray. Since they lost their Fox affiliation, KUIL has been calling itself "The U" -- airing a hodge podge of syndicated programming and Sham-WOW informercials.
And now...NEWS! But it ain't exactly local. Beginning September 14th at 9 pm, they will simulcast Houston's KRIV Fox 26 news. The impetus for the move is obvious, ad dollars. Advertisers, even in this day and age, just LOVE themselves the local (or in this case, not-so-local) news. Now we can not only hear about regional dysfunction, but view it, too. READ IT
