The company, which employs 20,000 people across the United States, gave pink slips to 1,850 people in its corporate, Clear Channel Outdoor and Clear Channel Radio divisions, according to an internal memo obtained by the Houston Business Journal that was sent to employees Tuesday by chief executive Mark Mays.
Most of cuts were in the sales department, the memo said, but ultimately all departments within the company were affected. READ MORE
Word on the street is that around 40 staffers were affected in Houston. There are also higher numbers floating around. Ultimately at this point we just don't know.
