Forget about all of the barbecue restaurants in Houston and head to Pierson and Company Bar-B-Q right now. Don't even think about it. Well, hopefully you are reading this during the day since that is the only time this BBQ joint is open. Joe Williams and I, who have reviewed our favorite Houston and Texas barbecue joints before, tried the place out last week. Pierson and Company Bar-B-Q is located near Acres Homes on TC Jester and Mansfield. Haven't heard of it? It's only been open since October 2007 or so. It's also down the street from the now closed William's Barbecue place.
I was in love at the first bite. The sausage has an amazing flavor. The brisket sandwich has the right sauce on it and melts in your mouth. Potato salad is tops. The nice and hot peach cobbler...oh yeah!
Does it have the best dining area? No. But the place barbecue restaurants rarely do!
