Two cool web sites to leave on your desktop while away

Here are two web sites that can make everyone in your office think you are way more important than you really are. Why? Because they both constantly change and look like they are tracking something.

Yahoo! Newsglobe
Yahoo! Newsglobe Shows an image of Earth with points around the globe representing top stories. The Earth image rotates to show you a thumbnail of each top story. It looks really nice.

Twittervision
Someone out there probably knows more about this than I do, but this site lets you track all of the latest Twitters on a global map. It's cool when Japanese users post. I have Twittered and then sat at the map to see if my post showed up. It never did, maybe you have to register.

At least these are cool until your screen saver comes on. CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
