David Pogue takes a look at the various portable GPS units out there. I recently tested a cell phone based GPS unit, but have not personally tested any of the ones Mr. Pogue features.
He takes a look at models like the Cobra Nav One 4500 ($520), Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS 810 ($600), Magellan Maestro 4250 ($450) and the Garmin Nuvi 680 ($620).
While I have not actually used it, I recently saw the TomTom GO 920T ($500) in use when I was in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago. Nice. I was very impressed with it. It easily got us where we needed to go.
