Houston Chronicle takes KPRC Local 2 to task

The Houston Chronicle's David Barron pokes fun at KPRC Local 2 for the station's reporters use of props when they are on camera:

It will continue to be acceptable to walk while gesticulating during a Channel 2 stand-up. I also can accept pointing to buildings in the background. Waving a sheaf of papers in front of the camera is pushing it, but I'm trying to be tolerant here.

What I do propose, however, is that news director Skip Valet keep a list of props used in each newscast and that there should be a 60-day moratorium on using the same prop more than once.

This article reminds me of the newspaper version of linkbaiting. My question is, why is Barron writing this? Where is Mike McDaniel? CONTACT: Leave me a Houston or Texas media news tip | COMMENT: Click to leave your thoughts on this post here
