Former Fox 26 KRIV anchor Jan Jeffcoat in Chicago in the news with Mike Barz and more

Just after two days Jan Jeffcoat and her new show, Good Day Chicago on Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32, are making news.

No, the news is not about the former Houston Fox 26 KRIV anchor, it's her co-anchor, Mike Barz. You know him if you ever watched Good Morning America in the last few years. If you blinked then you probably missed him doing the weather as a fill-in on ABC mornings.

The Chicago Sun Times has more:

Sources said Barz had been ordered off the air while his bosses investigated a complaint involving his attention-grabbing after-hours antics at a night club.

While attending a going-away party for a production assistant the previous Friday night, Barz was seen with a female staffer engaged in what was described as "dirty dancing." The staffer has not been identified.

"A lot of alcohol was consumed that night, and it looked like what Mike and his partner were doing was clearly consensual," one source said. "But it did happen."

Another source called Barz' impromptu dance fling "a joking thing -- just sophomoric frat-boy kind of stuff."

Does this mean Jan Jeffcoat will be a solo anchor for a while? Jose, how fast can you be in Chicago? The Insite can fill in on the Houston morning show in the meantime.

Meredith Vieira keeps Today afloat after a year
“It wasn’t lost on me when I came here that this was a No. 1 show,” Ms. Vieira said in an interview last week. “I sure didn’t want to take it down, unless I was planning to move to another country.”

Hated, Loved and Second-Guessed, MTV Is Still a Channel About Stars
For 26 years, since MTV’s debut, scolds of every stripe have looked upon it as a sort of heathen warlord who, harvest after harvest, sowed our cultural fields with rock salt. Now the perception for many is that MTV is sick and ailing, that, sadly, this mighty channel seems to have developed a heart problem.

Cops is not quite 20, but who cares, let's say it is
In nearly 20 years, the formula for “Cops” has not changed at all, from its abundant affection for hand-held cameras to its lack of voice-over narration and music (save for its familiar theme song, “Bad Boys,” by the reggae band Inner Circle).
