You know the drill, users submit stories, but in this case, you only get the types of stories you are interested in thanks to the fancy sounding 'personalization algorithm.' The site also allows users to update or correct stories they find inaccurate. Ahh, the crowdsourcing element grows.
"Thoof removes the 'angry mob' from determining relevance and controlling the distribution of news," said Josh Morgan, a spokesperson for Thoof. "With Thoof, all users can interact with the news, improving the quality and accuracy of news gathering for active members."
