Lance Zierlein is no longer an employee of KILT (610 AM). He and the station said in a joint statement Monday afternoon that their contract dispute has been settled and that Zierlein has left the station.READ THE REST
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, speculation has it that the clock is now ticking on Zierlein's six-month non-compete provision, which was to kick in when his contract expired Nov. 30. If that is the case, since he was taken off the air in early June, he theoretically could return before the end of the year.
Now Lance is not talking about where he is going just yet. One might suspect he'll go up to 1560 KGOW The Game (still KILE at this point). If he does that, he most likely will not be on at night:
Federal Communications Commission officials late last week rejected a request by KGOW (1560 AM) for special temporary authority to add nighttime broadcasts. The request, as described in the agency's ruling, would have permitted nighttime operations while KGOW's owners work to resolve issues surrounding an FCC construction permit for a new night transmitter location.

Supposedly that station will have a web presence at 1560thegame.com so maybe we can find out more there. The fun starts at the new 1560, August 20th.
